Information

Sessions normally take place during school hours, or sometimes on Saturday afternoons or in the school holidays.

"Studio Style" sessions have a plain background and a photography studio type of lighting.

"Home Sessions" have a similar lighting set up, but use furniture such as sofas or armchairs and the wall of your home rather than a studio backdrop.

"Real Life" sessions involve photographing your children playing in their own home (Long Buckby only).

I take lots of pictures and you will receive a set of the best ones - between 10 and 15 photographs for a standard half hour session. You can choose to have the photographs either as 7"x5" prints, or as jpg files.

Studio Style Sessions

These sessions take place in Long Buckby. It may be possible to use your home, if you have a large open space of at least 2.5m x 2.5m.

I use a pop-up background with a light inside it to make it pure white. Alternatively you can choose between black, light greyish blue and creamy beige backgrounds.

Home Sessions

Home sessions are usually based around a sofa or armchair because this provides a comfortable, contained setting where I can control the lighting.
Also it can give a simple, distraction free background without having to use an artifical backdrop.

Real Life Sessions

I will ask you to prepare 2 or 3 activities that your child enjoys (e.g. painting, lego, toy cars, dolls, books, play doh, climbing frame, biscuit decorating, board games).

I will bring my lighting equipment in case it is needed but may not use it if there is a well lit area in your home.
